Imagine you're a skilled cook preparing a simple tomato sauce for pasta. You've made this sauce countless times, using the usual ingredients like tomatoes, garlic, onions, and herbs. However, this time, you decide to add a tiny amount of truffle oil, a luxurious ingredient known for its intense and distinctive aroma.
As the sauce simmers on the stove, the scent of the truffle oil gently mingles with the familiar aromas of the other ingredients. When you taste the finished sauce, you're met with a revelation. The depth and richness of flavor that the truffle oil has imparted to the sauce are subtle but undeniable. It's as if the sauce has been elevated to a whole new level, offering a complexity that wasn't there before. You utter with delight, “Oh, Heaven!”
We crave certainty in every facet of life, from investments to relationships. But perhaps it's uncertainty that truly shapes us. Those sleepless nights spent wrestling with doubt highlight the human condition. Amid life's variables, there's only one constant: absolute certainty eludes us. A city in Nevada's desert stands as a testament to this truth.
Human nature associates uncertainty with risk. Thus, we seek assurance before plunging into commitment. We assume that avoiding commitment minimizes risk. Consequently, many choose solitude over the unknowns of companionship. Countless opportunities remain untapped due to the fear of uncertainty. Paradoxically, demanding certainty before commitment is the true risk.
The pursuit of certainty is echoed in Adam and Eve's story. The serpent preyed on their desire for certainty, whispering, "Did God really say?" Doubt seeded their downfall. This urge for certainty is intrinsic, but elevating it to a functional savior enslaves us.
Within each heart resides a void, a space sculpted for the divine. A God-sized, God-shaped emptiness yearns for fulfillment. This design isn't a flaw; it's part of our essence. This void will be satisfied in due time, yet for now, we're granted occasional glimpses.
A child's unconditional hug echoes heaven's embrace. Love's enigmatic force intertwines hearts, embodying the universe's mysteries. Love doesn't emerge from certainty; rather, it births it. Commitment doesn't precede certainty—it engenders it. But, I will be the first to admit it. It’s easier said than done.
At Jubilee, we combine mentoring, counseling, and coaching as we walk alongside you, empowering you to make that commitment to pursue your life’s dream.
