The Contract
JUBILEE CHRISTIAN LIFE COACHING AGREEMENT

This Life Coaching Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Jubilee Christian Life Coach, a New Jersey nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) organization (“Jubilee Coach” or “Coach”), and the undersigned client (“Client”).

purpose and nature of the relationship
1.1 Coaching Relationship
Jubilee Coach provides faith-based life coaching services designed to support personal growth, spiritual reflection, leadership development, goal clarification, healthy decision-making, accountability, and action planning. Coaching may be provided in individual, couple, family, group, or leadership settings, as applicable.
Coaching may include discussion, encouragement, biblical reflection, practical guidance, skill-building, mentoring-style support, and structured follow-up. Coaching is collaborative in nature and is intended to help the Client identify goals, consider next steps, and take responsibility for personal growth and action.
1.2 Not Licensed Counseling or Therapy
The Client understands and agrees that Jubilee Coach provides life coaching services only. Jubilee Coach does not provide licensed professional counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health treatment, psychiatric services, medical care, or crisis intervention services.
Jubilee Coach does not diagnose mental health conditions, does not treat psychological disorders, and does not provide services that require a state-issued professional license unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement by a properly licensed provider.
Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, medical treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or any other regulated professional service.
1.3 Faith-Based Approach
Jubilee Coach is a Christian ministry. Its coaching philosophy, values, and methods are shaped by biblical principles and a Christian understanding of life, growth, identity, relationships, suffering, responsibility, and hope.
The Client understands that Christian beliefs, Scripture, prayer, and faith-based perspectives may be incorporated into coaching sessions, as appropriate to the services requested and agreed upon.
1.4 Welcoming People of All Backgrounds
Jubilee Coach welcomes clients from all backgrounds, including those of different religious traditions, beliefs, or life experiences. The Client understands that Jubilee Coach’s services are faith-based and that the Christian foundation of the ministry is not hidden or suspended in the coaching relationship.
1.5 No Guarantee of Results
The Client understands that coaching is a collaborative process intended to support growth and development. Jubilee Coach makes no guarantees regarding particular outcomes, results, achievements, emotional experiences, business success, relational restoration, spiritual breakthroughs, or other specific results.

Jubilee Coach agrees to provide coaching services in good faith and with professionalism, integrity, respect, and care, consistent with its mission, values, and faith commitments.
4.2 Scope Awareness
Jubilee Coach will seek to maintain appropriate boundaries and to remain within the scope of coaching rather than representing coaching as licensed counseling, therapy, or other regulated professional care.
4.3 Referrals When Appropriate
If Jubilee Coach determines that the Client may be better served by a licensed counselor, therapist, physician, attorney, financial advisor, or other qualified professional, Jubilee Coach may recommend such a referral.

5.1 General Confidentiality
Jubilee Coach will keep information shared by the Client confidential to the extent reasonably possible and consistent with applicable law, ministry needs, and safety responsibilities.

when there is reason to believe the Client may present a serious risk of harm to self or others;
when disclosure is reasonably necessary for safeguarding, supervision, legal compliance, insurance, or organizational protection;
or when the Client gives written permission for disclosure.
5.3 Ministry and Administrative Access
The Client understands that limited information may be accessible to appropriate Jubilee Coach personnel, administrators, or authorized representatives for scheduling, billing, recordkeeping, supervision, safeguarding, training, legal compliance, or organizational oversight, as reasonably necessary.
5.4 Group, Couple, and Family Settings
If coaching occurs in a group, couple, or family setting, Jubilee Coach will encourage confidentiality among participants, but cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality.
5.5 Electronic Communication
The Client understands that email, text messaging, video platforms, cloud storage, and other technologies carry some privacy and security risks. By participating in virtual or electronic communications, the Client accepts those reasonable risks.

fees, payment, and sponsored coaching
6.1 Paid Service
The Client understands that Jubilee Coach provides coaching as a paid professional service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.2 Fee Disclosure
The fees, package terms, session length, frequency, billing terms, and payment expectations for the coaching engagement will be communicated to the Client in writing before services begin, whether in this Agreement, an attached fee schedule, an invoice, an intake form, or another written document.
6.3 Sponsored, Subsidized, or Donor-Funded Coaching
In some cases, all or part of the cost of coaching may be paid by Jubilee Coach, a church, a ministry, an employer, a family member, a grant, or charitable donations. In such cases, the Client understands that:
the service remains a paid service;
the cost is being borne in whole or in part by a third party;
and the Client remains subject to the terms of this Agreement even if the Client pays none of the fee personally.
6.4 No Ownership of Client Information by Sponsor
A sponsor, donor, church, ministry, family member, or other third-party payor does not gain access to confidential coaching communications merely because that party pays for the coaching. Any sharing of confidential information with a third party requires the Client’s written consent unless disclosure is otherwise permitted or required under this Agreement or by law.
6.5 Missed Payments
If payment is the Client’s responsibility and payment is not made as agreed, Jubilee Coach may suspend or terminate services until the account is brought current, unless other written arrangements have been made.

scheduling, cancellation, and attendance
7.1 Scheduling
Coaching sessions will be scheduled by mutual agreement. Session format may include in-person, telephone, video, or other agreed means.
7.2 Cancellation by Client
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Client agrees to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling of a session. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be charged in full or counted as used sessions.
7.3 Cancellation by Coach
If Jubilee Coach must cancel or reschedule a session, reasonable efforts will be made to provide notice and to reschedule promptly.

Jubilee Coach may keep reasonable records regarding dates of service, payments, administrative communications, and brief coaching notes.

Any worksheets, guides, assessments, handouts, recordings, courses, frameworks, written content, or other materials provided by Jubilee Coach remain the property of Jubilee Coach unless otherwise stated in writing.
8.3 Limited License for Personal Use
The Client may use such materials only for personal, non-commercial use in connection with the coaching relationship and may not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute, or create derivative works from them without prior written permission.

Termination
9.1 Termination by Either Party
Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time by written notice.
9.2 Termination by Jubilee Coach
Jubilee Coach may terminate services immediately or upon notice if:
the Client’s needs fall outside the scope of coaching;
the Client fails to pay as agreed;
the Client behaves abusively, threateningly, dishonestly, or inappropriately;
the coaching relationship becomes unsafe, unworkable, or inconsistent with Jubilee Coach’s mission or policies;
or Jubilee Coach determines that continuation is not advisable.
9.3 Financial Effect of Termination
The Client remains responsible for payment for services already rendered. Any refund for prepaid sessions not yet used will be handled according to the written fee policy or, if no separate written policy exists, at Jubilee Coach’s reasonable discretion, less the value of services already rendered and any nonrefundable administrative costs previously disclosed.
9.4 Survival
Provisions relating to confidentiality, payment obligations, intellectual property, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law will survive termination of this Agreement.

limitation of liability
10.1 Assumption of Responsibility for Decisions
The Client understands that all decisions made before, during, or after coaching are the Client’s sole responsibility.
10.2 Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jubilee Coach and its directors, officers, employees, coaches, contractors, volunteers, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the coaching relationship or services provided.

Nothing in this Agreement shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

dispute resolution and governing law
11.1 Good Faith Resolution
The parties agree first to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute arising out of this Agreement through informal discussion.
11.2 Mediation
If informal efforts do not resolve the dispute, the parties agree to attempt mediation before filing litigation, unless emergency injunctive relief is necessary.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11.4 Venue
Any legal proceeding arising from this Agreement shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in New Jersey, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
